Loan Officer – Accounting, Tax & Law Lending

Steve Piatkowski is a loan officer at Live Oak Bank, specializing in providing capital to Tax & Accounting and CPAs firms. He joined the bank in 2019 as a business analyst for the Wine and Craft Beverage team. In August 2021, he transitioned to the Professional Services teams as an underwriter. After a year in that role, he advanced to loan officer, where he continues to support the lending team and Live Oak’s customers in the professional services space. Originally from New Jersey, Steve earned his degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active and spending time with his wife and daughter.
A key consideration for accounting practices that want to remain independent is finding the capital they need to invest in staff, new technologies, and growth strategies — particularly those that involve M&A.
